We collect as little as we can, set no cookies, and never ask for a password or card details.

Who this covers

This policy explains what Sellular does with personal information on this website and when you apply for early access. It does not cover the Sellular apps your team uses once your account exists; those are covered by your service agreement.

When a merchant collects information about their own customers through Sellular, the merchant decides what to collect and why, and Sellular handles it on the merchant's behalf. If you are a merchant's customer, please ask the merchant first.

What we collect when you apply

The application form asks for the details we need to review your request and set up your account:

  • Your name, email address and phone number.
  • Your business name and type, country, currency and time zone.
  • Your first location's name and address, and an optional note.
  • The language you used the form in.

What we never ask for

We never ask for a password, a PIN, a national ID or card details on this website. If you ever see a request for one in our name, do not answer it, and tell us.

If you stop part way

Each step of the form is saved when you press Next, so that if you stop we can still get back to you. An application you started but did not send is deleted after 30 days.

What happens automatically

This website sets no cookies, and it has no analytics, advertising or tracking tools. A few things happen in the background:

  • Your IP address is used for a moment to limit how fast one visitor can send requests. It is held in memory and not stored.
  • Your browser's language setting picks the language of your first visit. We do not store it.
  • Our hosting provider keeps ordinary server logs (address, time and page requested) to run and protect the site.
  • Your own device remembers your light or dark choice and, if you start the form, your progress, so a reload does not lose it. These stay in your browser until you send the application, 30 days pass, or you clear the site's data.

How we use it

We use your details to:

  • Review your application and decide whether we can welcome you to early access.
  • Contact you about your application and, if approved, set up your account and first location.
  • Keep the site and our service safe, and prevent abuse.
  • Meet our legal obligations.

Who else handles it

We do not sell your information, rent it out, or share it for advertising. A small number of providers handle it for us, only to give us their service. Today they are:

  • Vercel, which hosts this website.
  • DigitalOcean, which hosts our servers, and its managed database service, where applications are stored.
  • Resend, which delivers the emails we send you.

Where it is kept

Application details are stored in a managed database run by our cloud provider. Information may be processed in a country other than yours. If you need to know the current region, ask us.

How long we keep it

Unfinished applications are deleted after 30 days. An application you send is kept while we review it, and if we approve it, it becomes part of your account's record. If we decline it, we keep it only as long as we need it for our records, then delete it. Records that the law, or the need to prove who changed what, requires us to keep are kept as long as that requires.

Your choices and rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

  • Tell you what we hold about you, and give you a copy.
  • Correct anything that is wrong.
  • Delete your information, where we are not required to keep it.
  • Stop using it for a purpose you object to.

Children

Sellular is for businesses. This website is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will change the date at the top. If a change affects how we use what you already gave us, we will tell you.
